Reflection upon media:

I enjoyed watching the videos of the media.  In the first video of Robert Hughes I really liked how he was sitting in front of the Eiffel tower because I always wanted to go to Paris. I like how Hughes says that anyone can create art. You also never know what will come next.  I realized that it is very true that good ideas take a long time to come up and it is often with help of someone else that really gets the idea going.  According to Steven Johnson.  Also in John Cage’s I belive that those rules for students and teachers are genreally true.  I believe that anyone can create art and that people interpret art in their own way.  Everyone has  their own opinion on what art is and how it’s created.  And I also belive that people define art in their own way.  Art is always different and diverse and there are so many kinds of art and creative ability around.

I enjoyed doing the daily create for 8/28!  I’ve never made a youtube video before so it was fun to learn how to that and uploading it to youtube.  I am looking forward to seeing what I’ll be doing next for my daily creates.

Reflection on Bootcamp Week 1:

I had a good first week in DS106, I have already learned so much that I never knew before, such as creating a website and blog.  I really didn’t have much trouble figuring out how to do most of the stuff in bootcamp week one.  I guess the most difficult thing for me to do was learning how to embed videos and links into my blog.  I didn’t realize at first that embedding videos was different than just posting a link in the blog.  I am really excited about taking this class, I’ve really enjoyed the assignments so far.  My only concern is that I feel that I’ll be doing so much work for this class that I might get behind on my other classes I’m taking this semester.  I also admit that I have felt overwhelmed with this class at first (there was a lot of things that I did now know what to do), but I’m telling myself that if I just do a little work for this class each day I will be able to keep up and understand what I’m doing.  So far I do not have any questions but I will be sure to ask them as needed.  I am looking forward to seeing what I’ll be doing next in this class!
