My First DS106 Radio Experience

Okay, I cannot stop laughing.  Whoever is running the DS106 Radio is absolutely hilarious.  On multiple occasions whoever runs it was snapping their fingers and hitting the keyboard and saying stuff like, “NICE!” or “GREAT SONG!”  As awesome as that is, I feel kind of like a creep because I was more interesting in what the person was saying and doing rather than listening to what was on the radio.  I didn’t get to catch a live performance but it was oh so worth it to listen to someone bang on the keyboard every time a song came on.  Too much fun for real.

The stream for the radio station can be found here!  AutoDJ played a bunch of songs, but they were all fun to listen to in the background while I did other stuff.  I’ll most definitely be listening to that more often throughout the semester.  I really want to know who the guy is that is so hyped to listen to these songs!  Hopefully someone can help me out with that.  As suggested, I followed @DS106Radio on Twitter and will definitely throwing the stream on when I get an update that someone is doing a live performance.

I would say that I’m pretty interested so far in how the DS106Radio plays out.  It’s going to be nice to hear a live broadcast sooner or later though, that’s for sure.

I’m embedding my tweets into this post so hopefully you all can see that I did a bit of tweeting while listening :-)

I didn’t get any responses back to my Tweets, but it’s still a little early.  If I get anything, I’ll do my best to embed that in here but I’m not sure how well that will work.  Unlike other radio stations though, this one doesn’t (or didn’t when I listened to it) have any real commercials.  Every time I turn on the radio, it’s crappy quality and always on some stupid commercial that I have absolutely ZERO interest in.  Since this is more pertinent to the course, I’ll be giving this a listen more often!
