What an experience!

Unfortunately whenever I tuned into ds106 radio this week, there were no live broadcasts. :( I hope I will have better timing in the future. I really like how every time you begin listening to d106 radio, the first thing you hear is the bumper and then it goes to live streaming. While I was listening, I heard quite a few songs and every now and then I would hear a bumper tossed in. When I was listening to ds106 radio the server said there were two listeners. I love how you can see how many listeners there are at that given time. Its pretty cool knowing that someone else is tuned in at the same time as you.

Most of the songs are not something I would usually listen to, but I found myself really enjoying most of them. Weekday Drunk by Clint Kaufmann was played while I was listening. It was the first time I have ever heard this song and now I cannot get it out of my head! It was just so fun and catchy! This was probably my favorite song that played as I was listening.

Also while I was tuned in they played Girls Just Want to Have Fun, I have always loved this song, what girl doesn’t? I remember my sister and I use to sing this song on karaoke CONSTANTLY!

Overall my experience of ds106 radio was very nice. There were only 2 or 3 songs that I didn’t really enjoy, the rest were pretty awesome. I do wish that there was a little more variety in the tunes that were playing though.  I didn’t hear ANY commercials! :) I hate listening to the radio usually because I feel like they play just as many commercials as they do music.  I want to continue tuning in, I really want to hear someone live! It would be amazing to hear a real assignment on ds106 radio. I guess I just need to start tuning it at better times!
