Blast outta the Past

This house located at 6 St. Luke’s place (originally known as 6 Leroy street) was the home of a former Mayor of  New York City named  James J. Walker (just in case you were wondering, it’s not JJ from “Good Times”). This mayor changed the name of the street from its original name Leroy street because he had the power to do so. It is said that his house  was the only house which had lamppost at the bottom of his steps so that it would be easy to find. The home is also a few doors down from the “Huxtable” residence ( the set of “The Cosby Show), which is located at 10 Leroy Street. Check out what the house looks like today.
