For my final project, I’d like to focus on Buster Keaton. I watched a fair bit of his work in high school and was amazed at how humorous and relevant it still was. For anyone unfamiliar with h

is work, here is a compilation of some of his “bests” someone put together on youtube. I feel like he isn’t well known as an artist, even though his work has been very influential and his movies often rank on “Best Movies of All Time” lists. So my goal is to introduce my audience to his work.

An assignment that immediately came to mine was the Charlie Chaplin’s Foley Artist assignment, which in this case, wouldn’t star Mr. Chaplin, but instead a clip from one of Buster Keaton’s films.

I would also like to revisit the Watching Movies with the Stereo On assignment and overlay a clip of his with a corresponding song.

If I were to use the Vintage Educational Video and this clip of Buster Keaton boxing, I think I could create a fairly compelling piece of media, a “How to” for boxing.

And instead of summarizing a movie with animated gifs in this assignment, I will instead try to summarize his career (or, if that feels too ambitious, his most popular work, The General)
