What Mean Girls Do Best…

This is “Supercut It,” it is video assignment 608 and worth 5 stars! The assignment reads,

“Create a supercut montage of overused dialogue, themes, motifs, filmmaking techniques, etc. for a particular character, tv show, film, and/or public figure. A supercut is a “fast-paced montage of short video clips that obsessively isolates a single element from its source, usually a word, phrase, or cliche from film and TV. Supercut.org collects every known example of the video remix meme.”

This assignment will be used in my final project, I created a super cut to the movie Mean Girls. It is basically an extremely condensed version of the movie, it contains most of the meanness that occurred. I wanted to use it as a bullying example to lead into the media piece that will follow it in my final project.

I think it turned out pretty nicely!

First I found all of the clips I wanted to use on YouTube, I downloaded them using KeepVid. Then I dragged them one at a time to Windows Movie Maker and edited them down one by one. Once I had many small clips, I placed them in the order I wanted. I decided to do the order of the movie. Once I was finished putting the clips in order, I basically had a four minute version of the movie; from start to finish.

Stay tuned for my final project! COMING SOON
