How Punny of You

It is now time to introduce one of the Fandom Princess’ legendary adversaries. This person was considered to all sweet (and annoying), smart (yet frustrating), and charming(fake as hell). She went by the name of Sophia and the Fandom Princess disliked her for many reasons, one of which was her knack for making very, verybad puns.

One bright Spring day during the Fandom Princess’ second year away at school, she received news that a visitor was coming to see her that weekend. The dwarf, who delivered the news, said that it would be a surprise, and that the Princess was not allowed to know who would be arriving. This puzzled the Princess, for she was not expecting any company from her family until Family Day, a which was a whole moon cycle away. Still, she grinned childishly at the news because, let us be honest, the Princess loved company (she was a chatterbox, after all).

The weekend came swift, and though the Princess had a mountain of scrolls to get through (about silly things like advanced arithmetic and ogre history), she spent the whole morning with her friend, Tara, picking out an outfit for the surprise visitor.

The sun rose high into the sky and shone down directly onto the flowery courtyard where the Fandom Princess was awaiting, her favorite tea and lemon cookies to accompany her. Suddenly, she heard the click-clack, click-clack of shoes marching her way. The figure was still too far away for her to see, but as it got closer, the Princess’ smile drooped, and her eyes got wide, and she raised her hands up to the sky, and… well, you know, she looked a lot like this:

For, approaching her, with a smug smile on her face at that, was Sophia, the Twilight Fandom President (Dun dun dunnnn)

“Tiffany! How nice it is to see you after so long,” Sophia said, sitting across from the Princess and helping herself to some tea.

The Princess quickly regained her composure and forced a smile on her face. “Nice to see you too, Sophia,” she said. And although she really didn’t give two flying hippogriffs, she asked out of politeness, “How are things with the Twilight club?”

Sophia crossed one of her legs over the other and set her bag (the newest design from Fantasy & Magic, and one in which the Fandom Princess did not receive for a gift from her parents) on her lap.

“Well, we hit a rough patch at our meeting last night. Discussing vampires can be oh so challenging, because, well, vampires suck.”

The Fandom Princess cringed. “How punny of you,” she said, raising her tea cup to her lips and trying not to react like this:

Yet because The Fandom Princess was so kind and ladylike, she spent the afternoon listening to Sophia talk about her vampire literature, all the while thinking:

And when Sophia (finally) announced that she had to return back to town to do some shopping, the Princess was all too happy to wave goodbye to her, and return to frolicking around the castle, not doing homework.
