Gone All Digital in the Week 3 ds106 Open Lab

Something was really amiss in the ds106 Open Lab tonight, I got all turned into digital data. That’s okay, since this week we are exploring digital stories.

I did some review of the assignments and content this week, and was doing some demos of the Visual Story exercise when Andrew Fograve, Bell Genereus, and Norm Wright showed up- I had them help me with the choices and narrative for a quick Five Card Flickr Story – they are totally responsible for the content of I Really know What Happened At Camp Magic MacGuffin – if you go to that story, you can use the options at the bottom to tell a better story with the same photos. I also showed how one could tweet a story:

Students Nanc and Alice came on and we talked about this week and water bottles. You never know what will happen inside the lab.

Join us next week, just be sure to wear your safety glasses and flame retardant apron.
