This assignment brought to my attention that I use storytelling almost everyday without even realizing it. In business you often have to present ideas and information to other people and this has made me think of better ways to present and give speeches.
I really liked this way of thinking about stories. I am a more math and analytical type of person and thought that it was a very interesting way of looking at stories.
Appreciating Past ds106 Stories
These stories did help to give me a better idea of what digital storytelling is. I hadn’t thought about stories without words before or using a video to emphasize a character’s specific qualities.
Finally did some dailycreates this week. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with them in future weeks.
I found this to be somewhat difficult at first. I wasn’t sure where to begin but then decided to just go with it and went with something a little bit out there.
Comment Group
My comment group was really helpful this week. I used their feedback to improve some aspects of my blog (resizing my gifs and adding categories to my posts). All of their blogs were really well done and made me want to improve mine.
Thoughts on Week 3
Since changing my blog around a bit and being more active I have been feeling a lot more comfortable in the class. Still need to try and manage my time better but I feel like I am definitely improving. Would like to figure out how to minimize my posts so that visitors have the option to read more instead of just the entire blog post on the front page.
