A Sound only Story

EEK! I’m literally about to jump up and down over this assignment, I’m just SO EXCITED!!

Honestly, when I read through this weeks work I was dreading this assignment. I thought it was going to be TERRIBLE. But it turned out to be pretty easy and really fun! It took me about 5 minutes to come up with an idea (who am I?) I normally take forever to decide upon an idea.

But before I go any further, let me explain the assignment: We were to create a story using 5 different sounds, all under 60 seconds.

I am an on-again, off-again runner. Currently I’m in the “off-again” phase, it’s just to cold outside. I digress. During my running days of 2012 I ran/walked in 4, 5ks. So that’s how I came up with the idea of creating a “running race story”.

Take a listen. Then I’ll share more after.

What do you think?

I got all 5 sounds from FreeSound.org

After downloading all the sounds, I used audacity to layer them all together. I faded in the cheering, at the beginning. Everything layered over another sound and at the end I let the “breathing sound” continue to give the “post race, just crossed the finish line effect” I’m just so excited with how this assignment turned out!
