ds106 Radio

I tried on and off all week to try to catch ds106 radio in a live broadcast, but it seemed like I could never listen when it was live.

I started listening to it around 1:05pm. I took a picture of radio status page right after I started listening.

When I started listening there was some music playing. I can’t say it was really my preferred type of music, but interesting nonetheless. Then it cut off. I realized I should try to refresh the page and then it came back on. The internet was being silly.

When it came back on, a story was playing. I missed the beginning, but its about some man who is hearing footsteps and is on a search to find out who it is. His wife is worried sick about him and has a doctor visit the man. The man escapes from the house and goes searching for the person these footsteps belong to. The man now hears voices and is trying to get more information from them. He’s screaming at them for more information, then you hear a car horn and brakes and his wife screaming. The man died. This was the place where he was in a car accident before and he returned to the same spot looking for answers. The story was called “Footsteps.”

It’s a bit scary and suspenseful.

The second and last story I listened to was about  a mom who lost her son. She was (understandably so) very upset and crying. Someone killed her son. She said that she didn’t have any hate in her heart for the person who killed her son. But she asks everyone across Canada to “put down the gun.” The story was a bit difficult to understand through her tears and her accent.

Here is one last screenshot of the ds106 radio status I took a picture of:
