The first time that the Fandom Prince told the Fandom Princess that he loved her, believe it or not, she flipped out (for lack of a better word). The Prince, who had been raised to be very gentlemanly, kind, and passionate, had thought his feelings out thoroughly before addressing the Princess with them.
The two were still quite young, and in fact, the Princess’ parents, upon meeting the Prince, were not too impressed with the idea of him being in love with their daughter. Not that that had anything to do with the Prince’s parents ruling the Northern lands and they the Southern (and Eastern) lands, but they were just unsure at first of the Prince’s true intentions. Over time, they learned that the Prince truly loved their daughter.
He showered her with gifts from the far lands that he would go to with his parents whenever he was not at Mercury (the name of the scholarly castle) and after he finished his schooling, he would still send her magical letters, gifts, tools, and stories when they couldn’t be together. The Princess was truly lucky to be with such an amazing man.
Well there’s my little Valentine’s Day (belated) post of me and my (one day) Prince who I’m still waiting for. But enough about me! This post is being created to kick off the long line of Visual Assignments that we have coming up. More specifically, the 10-star challenge! Needless to say, I’m ready to kick butt.
To start us off, we were asked this week to start off by captioning a Valentine’s Day Card! And before I post my masterpiece, I’d first off like to say that I was NOT expecting the sort of pictures that ended up needing to be captioned. It made me super happy that they were old-fashioned Romance Novel Covers. Icing on the cake, if you ask me. Anyway, I chose to do a quite sensual picture, but I kept it pretty normal. I didn’t want my caption to overpower the story that the picture was telling.
Now, for some reason, when I saw this picture without the caption, the quote “It would have never worked out between us, darling” from Pirates of the Caribbean’s Johnny Depp (or Captain Jack Sparrow) popped in my head. I have no idea why, but I decided to play around with that quote and tweak it a bit to create something completely different.
Next was the process of actually adding the text to the picture. Now, I don’t have Photoshop, I suck at Paint, and that Aviant thing with Flickr wasn’t working out for me. So, once again, I went to my good friend Google and used a photo editing website called Pixlr. It was a pretty standard service, and I was able to easily add text (and change the size, color, font, and position) on the picture. From there, I re-saved it under a new name, then uploaded it to Flickr to embed here! Hope you all enjoy (and I hope you all had a Happy Valentine’s Day)!
(3 Princess Stars!)
