It was a dark and stormy night. After a long day at school, I would go home only to do a load of homework. I was walking down the street in a shady neighborhood. Math textbook in hand, and my eyes peeled for any danger, I continued on. I looked ahead and saw a group of suspicious looking men. They were at the end of the block I was going down, there was no way I could avoid them. It would look weird if I suddenly crossed the street, so I continued on hoping nothing bad would happen. As I was about to pass them, I slightly looked up and identically made contact with one of the suspicious men. That was a big mistake. He came over to me and said “Yo, what’s your problem?”. “Nothing” I said. “We’ll your staring at me, surely you must have a problem” he replied. “Look man, i don’t want any trouble, I’m just trying to get home” I said in a hurry. I tried to walk away, he grabbed me and pulled me back. The members of his gang surrounded me, something was about to go down. “What’s your problem kid?”, he said again. I looked into his eyes and said “Welllllll”. I opened my math textbook and switched to page 394. I pointed to a problem on the page. X^2+6X+9=0. He looked closely at where I pointed, there was a long silence. “Oh”, he said, “all you have to do is…” He began to explain how to solve the problem to me. “I see” I said “Thanks for the help”. “No problem” he replied. I went on my way.
