Who I am, and why I’m taking this digital storytelling course

Who Am I?

I’m Martin Lugton. I live in London in the UK, and work in digital communications in the charity sector.

What do I want to achieve / learn in taking ds106?

  • I’d like to become familiar and comfortable with a greater range of creative, expressive digital tools.
  • I’d like to get some ideas for working with and remixing music, and some tools that could be helpful.
  • I’m hoping to feel more creative by the end of the course, and to have created a couple of things . An anarchic remixing of something would be cool.
  • I hope to reach out to some other people and to help them in the course, and to meet some people who encourage me to expand my horizons.
  • I’d like to think about how I could use any of these techniques autobiographically, or as oral history.

What do I know already?

I’m pretty good with the basic digital communications tools – websites, HTML, CSS and facebook/twitter – and am very happy to help with these where I can.

What’s the best way to get in touch with me?

Say hi on twitter! I’m @martinlugton. I hope to be friendly and supportive.
