Wow I cannot believe we are already planning out our FINAL PROJECTS, where on earth did this semester go??!!

I want to frame my project around the movie “Mean Girls” because it is a movie many have seen and can relate to. I have seen it a least a hundred times, I think doing a final project on something you are familiar with is best. My goal is to use my media to tell the basic story of the movie.  This should be fun :)

I spent Thanksgiving break brainstorming and this is what I came up with:

I want to open with an “animated movie poster”. (It is in the design category and worth 4 stars.)

Then I would like to create a “before and after” of Cady when she lived in Africa and was home-schooled and then now living in America attending public school. I don’t think I will exactly follow the directions for this one but its basically the same. (This is a Visual assignment, worth 4 stars)

Next, I plan to put together a “super cut” of all of the mean stuff Regina says/does in the movie. (This is a video assignment and worth 5 stars)

After demonstrating how mean Regina George is, I plan to create a “That’s Pinteresting” board to show Cady’s plan to destroy Regina’s life as payback. (This is in the design category and worth 2 stars)

Finally I want to use the assignment “What they might have done in social media” to show Regina and Cady’s inner thoughts and feelings through twister and fakebook. I think these will be dispersed throughout my final project post, possibly serving as added narration. (This is a web assignment worth 3 stars)

My current plan is to use all of these media assignments and my own narration to tell the story of “Mean Girls” and then afterwards I will give the behind the scenes scoop on how I created each assignment.
