Calling all Woodland Creatures…

Happy Monday fellow ds106ers!

It’s the beginning of a new ds106 week which means that this princess is ready for some new adventures! After my computer got a virus last week, I still am having issues with Google Chrome and am working intently with my father (who is a computer scientist) to restore everything back to normal. Not only is my technological life a mess, but my room also is a mess! I still have some boxes left to unpack from Christmas Break (oops) and my laundry pile has now gotten way too big to admit. So it is the day that college students dread the most, laundry day.

It only seems fitting that today’s Daily Create requires us to make our own Windows Blue Screen of  Death since my computer has a virus, but I really wanted to make sure I incorporated what is going on in my life as well, so cleaning. Which is why I am calling all woodland creatures to my apartment because every princess has someone to clean with while singing!

So here it is, my blue screen of death:

I made this in GIMP where I finally discovered two lovely toolbox windows regarding layer work as well as art tools. While making my GIF these windows were no where to be found, but they certainly were useful today! When I saved it, it was a .xcr file, but the text would not show up when I uploaded the photo to flickr, so I had to export this photo and save it as a .jpeg in order to get the text to show.

So if you see any woodland creatures carrying laundry, don’t be alarmed, they are just my friends doing my work for me and I’m off singing somewhere nearby.

Enjoy your Monday!

Princess Karissa
