It’s All In the Process

In the kitchen at Mercury, the dwarves that prepared all the meals for the students in the castle were friendly and always enjoyed seeing friendly faces in between meals. The Fandom Princess was a frequent visitor to the large kitchen. She would sit on a stool and tell them stories as they baked and cooked, but sometimes she would get so distracted watching them make the meals that she would end up just plain staring (the Princess was indeed a curious being). After months of noticing her doing just that, the dwarves decided to teach her how to make some of the simple desserts. Her favorite was Lemon-Strawberry Cake, and the process to make it was delicate and took patience. However, it was completely worth it, as the Princess would make the cake perfectly each time.

This week’s main challenge was to complete 15 stars worth of assignments from the DS106 Assignment bank: Design! Oooh, ahhh! It was a bunch of fun and seemed comparatively like last week’s assignments as well. The difference was that these were a little more time–consuming because I spent time thinking about how I wanted to design each thing in order to make my assignments precisely how I wanted them to be.

I completed a variety of Design assignments, and the links can be found below, along with the process and inspiration that I had for each one! I learned a lot this week as far as Design goes, and I appreciate the creative freedom that we had when picking which assignments to do!

Spectacle

Six Blue Roses

Fantasy

Move and Shake

The Royal Horse Carriage

Princess Courtney’s Note

Now, don’t be thrown off by the fact that I may have done these all in one sitting. I promise they are quality, quality star work! And if they’re not, well, definitely tell me because I love having things to work on. Then again, if you tell me that my work is Princess Perfect, then I might just have to bake you a Lemon-Strawberry cake. ;)
