If you plan on taking this class and have an old crappy PS I would reconsider taking this class.  Maybe wait until you get an updated computer before taking this class because if not it really makes this class a lot more difficult than it needs to be.  I am not in any way telling you this class is bad because I actually really enjoyed it and I learned a lot.  BUT I have an old crappy PC (am getting a new mac over the summer) and a lot of the projects that we needed to complete my computer just honestly could nto handle.  Projects that should have taken me 2 -3 hours would take me like full nights like 7-8 hours.  I really enjoyed what I was learning and feel like I gained a very wide range of knowledge of what there is to do on computers especially the web.  I personally came in with very little knowledge on how to even use you tube and by the end of the semester I had made my own video on YOU TUBE.  If you are in the education program or plan on teaching one day I would highly recommend this class because I have learned how much you can use the web to show people things and display things in a different way which I think I will be able to use in my classroom a lot!  So, my two main ideas to keep in mind when thinking about taking this class is A make you you have an updated computer of some sort whether it is a pc or a mac and B if you don’t have strong skills in computers do not shy away you will get it eventually and come out with a much stronger knowledge of how to use the web!
