Web 2.0 Storytelling Project: Life of a Rugby Ball

I had a fun time with this assignment; coming up with an idea was easier than I expected. I play on the UMW Women’s Rugby team, and since we had two games yesterday I decided to follow the ball throughout one of the matches to create a “Day in the Life of a Rugby Ball.” I think I could have made it a lot better with more pictures (and probably a better camera) but I wasn’t able to take a ton of pictures because, well, I was cheering my team on! So if I had the chance to do this over I would try to change that aspect of the project.

However, I was still fairly pleased with the end result. I initially tried using Slideroll for my project, but it was harder to use than I anticipated and I didn’t really like how the end project turned out. So I tried PhotoPeach next, which worked much better for me. I really struggled with trying to find the music I wanted; I didn’t want it to be silent, because that’s boring, but I wanted something mostly instrumental that had a good beat but wasn’t too fast…I settled on “Sweet Emotion” by Aerosmith.
