“Splash The Color” Visual Assignment- It’s all in the shoes

This week for digital storytelling we must complete 10 stars worth of Visual Assignments. I saw Alan Levine’s “Splash the Color” Assignment and had the perfect idea for a picture. Ever since I arrived at Mary Washington I’ve participated in “Orange Tuesdays,” which is simply a group of the guys and girls on the track team wearing some sort of orange running apparel on Tuesdays. I’ve become quite the orange fan, not sure why to be honest, but anyway I ended up buying orange racing spikes (not only because of the color). For the assignment I saw Alan’s orange chain link and decided to colorize my orange spikes in one of my running pictures. I ended up going with a picture of me finishing the 5k race at the 2011 Outdoor CAC championship, a rather disappointing race, but it captured the shoes nicely. Enjoy!
