Making the Rosetta

For this visual assignment we had to make an animated GIF from a real world object or scene. I decided to make something that I experience every day. As a barista, latte art is the ultimate achievement. It takes perfect foamy milk, perfect espresso and a very steady pouring hand. It took years for me to perfect the “Rosetta” – a leaf like image made by shaking your hand back and forth in perfect motion. I’m nine stars in to ten now! One star to go.

I had a lot of fun learning how to make this GIF. I used Jim Groom’s Tutorial which was really intuitive and easy to use. Overall, this process took me less than an hour. I’m excited to experiment with making more GIFs!
