This was my first photo assignment and the goal was to make a picture look “comic-booky”. I used this picture because it was already nicely gridded, much like a comic book. To make the effect I searched for “comic book effect GIMP” on google, and came up with this really helpful link. In the end, it was a matter of applying a “Newsprint” filter (filter is one of the main menu options like “file” or “edit”), and messing with the circle size, and just playing with settings.
