Minimalist Travel Poster

For my minimalist travel poster I used one of my favorite movies, Kill Bill, as inspiration.  Uma Thurman’s character, Beatrix Kiddo, is on a mission to kill the members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.  When Kiddo goes to kill the first name on her list, O ren ishii, she is forced to travel to Tokyo. Thus providing the line for this poster – One ticket to Tokyo, please. To create this poster I took a screen shot from the movie of Kiddo driving though the streets of Tokyo on her motorcycle.

I then cut out her image out, in fotoflexer, and applied a cartoon effect to what was left. I took that image and pasted it into Gimp and added the background and font at the top.
