Superconnected: A Web 2.0 Comic

For this first storytelling assignment I used ComicSketch.  It was … frustrating, to say the least.  Mostly because it is really difficult to sketch anything at all using a laptop’s trackpad.  A little more patience, as well as simplification of imagery, made this look slightly better than its first couple incarnations, but also resulted in leaving out a lot more detail than I would have liked.

As you can probably tell, this allows you to “play” a comic to readers, letting the story unfold in the order you add each addition to a panel.  I love the idea of being able to see the process of creation unfolding while viewing a finished product (and I think that idea could play out as a narrative tool in interesting ways) but I wish the drawing and animation tools were more sophisticated to allow for more experimentation.
