I listened to a radio show titled Break-Up by This American Life. Although I thought the actual show was slow and a bit boring there were some moments to mention. I thought they did a good job of including music in the show. Because much of the show was about break-up songs, there were a lot of samples of music included in the show. The editing was perfect. The songs would come in loud and then cut back to be background music, making it easy to recognize the song while still maintaining the audio voice over the music. I also thought it was great that when the voices were interviewing people on the field there was an easy background sound. It made the voices seem real and authentic. I also liked how the show was divided into four sections: prologue, act I, act II and act III. It made the show easy to follow and listen to. So, although I didn’t love the content, the editing definitely saved the show!
