My birthday is May 8th and I found out a bunch of things happened on my birthday such as its the earliest day mother’s day can fall on, its a day to remember and reconcile on all those who lost their lives in the second world war and its also White Lotus Day. But I really found it interesting that every year in Korea on this day they honor parents with parents day. It’s like a mother and father’s day but on this day you celebrate both parents. In the United States now they are trying to make every fourth Sunday in July parents day as well. I chose to reflect about this because I am a parent as well and it’s a good thing to hear the kids honor their parents every year.. SO it’s like 2 birthdays in 1 year! This two star assignment was both exciting and educational.
