Preproduction/ 5 Second Film

I was looking throught the video assignments and came across the 5 second film assignment. I went to the website and watched a couple of them and thought they were funny so I would like to use this post to describe how I would make my 5 second film.

The scene starts off with emotional piano music. A middle aged man is on his knees begging “Please stay! I have nothing without you! I need you!” One tear rolls down his face and he wipes it away. He looks up.

The scene cuts to his 5 year old son wearing a transformers T-shirt and carrying legos. His son says “Dad, I’m just going to Billy’s next door.”

The point of the scene was to make it seem like the man was begging for his wife to stay and not leave him but then he is actually just overreacting about his son leaving to go to his friends house.
