For my second assignment, I choose to identify an educational video you could use to create your own; create a script and set of media needs to complete the Vintage Educational Video Assignment:. In this assignment make a 5 minute or less video of a modern topic in the vintage style of these films.

For this assignment I am going to create an educational video on “How to Walk a Dog.” For some reason, when I saw this, this is the first idea that came to my mind, I feel like it would be fun, and all these ideas on how to do it came rushing to my mind.

I am going to make it black and white, the star actor Jake, wont have any speaking parts, it will just have narration.  There will be signs held up for the steps while the narrator talks. Jake will just make motions like holds up one figure to symbolize, oh, I get it!

Script: The only person who would be talking would be the narrator.
Narrator: Jake wants to walk Riley (his dog) but doesn’t know how, so I am here to help.
This is How to Walk a Dog Educational Video
Step 1. Pick up lease
Step 2. Hook lease to dog’s collar
Step 3. Begin walking.
Step 4. Say come on girl.
Step 5. Praise dog for listening.
Step 6. Continue walking.
Step 7. Keep dog close to keep dog safe.
Step 8. When back inside, unhook lease from collar.
Step 9. Pat dog on head.
Step 10. Put lease away.
Jake and you have no successfully learned how to walk a dog. Congratulations.

Media needs: Camera, edit software, count down clip (in old movies where the number showed and then goes away in a clockwise motion and then another number came up), cards to write the steps on, microphone, speakers, background music-so a computer to play it on, computer to do editing.

If I have to re-create this assignment next week, I hope it goes as well as I picture it!
