Spiderman With the Stereo On

For the video assignment Watching Movies With the Stereo On (???) I chose to take a scene from Spiderman.

I just looked one up on YouTube and I found one where he is just waking up and realizing things are changing for him because he’s now Spiderman, but he doesn’t know it yet. I mixed it with the song Hero by Enrique Iglesias, because he’s a superhero, and also with the nursery rhyme Itsy Bitsy Spider because, well, he’s Spiderman. That one’s pretty self-explanatory. I also added in some radio static sounds that I found on FreeSound to simulate the changing of radio frequencies.

This was a really easy assignment, I didn’t have much trouble with it at all. The hardest part was deciding which pieces of the songs to use. I was going to use a couple more songs, but I didn’t like any of the ones I was coming up with besides those two.

As a little extra piece, I put “MUTE” in the bottom left corner of the video because the whole idea of this assignment is that you’re watching a movie with the sound off, and the stereo on. I think having that there helps the viewer understand that this audio is coming from somewhere else.

I’m actually pretty proud of how this turned out, I think adding the static was a good move.
