5 Prisoners, 5 Seconds

For my final 3 stars, making 30 stars total, I decided to complete the One Archetype, Five Movies, Five Seconds, here were the guideline: Create a five second video of one archetype from five different movies cutting together one second of each. Examples could include: Prisoners, Thieves, Beauty Queens, Kings, Robin Hoods, James Bonds, Bank Robbers, Assassins, Bad Boys, Kung Fu Masters, Femme Fatales, Sports Heroes, High School Bullies, Rogue Police Officers, etc.

I choose to do PRISONERS! The reason being alot of good movies contain prisoners for example, one of my all time favorite movies is Conair, this helped lead to my choice of which archetype to use!

The 5 prisoners I used were, Cry-Baby Walker (Johnny Depp), Cyrus the Virus (John Malkovich), Everett (George Clooney), John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), and then Paul Crewe (Adam Sandler) (Chris Rock as the caretaker is included in this shot, sorry!)

So I used you you tube to find the trailers for these videos, which I had to download to my computer. Then I opened up VideoPad Video Editor and imported the 5 videos. I clipped about a second of each of the prisoners I wanted to used and put the 5 clips together. I then add a black page at the beginning and used subtitles to make it a title page. I added subtitles to each of the 5 prisoner pages naming the character and the actor. I then used Youtube to find Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues. I used this website http://www.flvto.com/ to convert the video into an MP3. I then imported the music into VideoPad. I aligned the music with my images. And my final piece is about 9 seconds long because of my title page. I think it turned out pretty well and I think all of my prisoners are pretty well know. I also think the Johnny Cash song was pretty fitting.

The fact of the matter is my video could have been a lot longer with all of the great prisoner roles, but here are what I consider to be the 5 best prisoner roles! Enjoy :)
