Wow it’s the last week of the spring semester!!!! Wasting away the hours in the convergence center, has been the worst and the best. For my final week, I picked up on the work of the Freedom Fighters Agency. Their work was a little confusing, because there was not much to look at it. I had a lot of questions after reading through everything. Which I guess is great for me because it gives me more to work with! Specifically I had a lot of questions about what was on the flash drive? That’s why I decided to work with.

As the case closes, so does Week 13. This week was all about deciding how to end Jack’s story. Does he join ds106? Do we love him? Do we hate him? Does he stay at the Rose Garden? So many decisions to be made, and the best part was there was no wrong answer! This week my partner, Brian aka Sterling James was in Colorado. It’s funny because Sterling would go on the exact same trip, because he loves the outdoors and adventures! So with week 13 wrapping up, Jack joins the ds106 team. He even got his very own ds106 twitter! (follow him @jackds106). Jack feels on top of the mountain about being apart of ds106 (just like Brian was this week). Jack cannot wait to get started on daily creates and getting a look at the assignment week. Where did the time go? How has it already been 13 weeks of ds106? CRAZY.

So this week Brian and I (or should I say Claudia and Sterling James) have been working on our Agency, the Rose Garden. It was interesting developing a story around who Jack is. Since our agency is a rehabilitation center and a daycare, we decided to have Jack as a patient in both. Jack is a 9 year old boy who suffers with an addiction to whey protein. Jack is very sick and continuously sneaks out of his room to make banana whey smoothies. He is the son of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but has been hidden from the media because of his illness. We are the first to know of his relation to the infamous couple.  We decided to mostly do pictures when developing our story and we have posted a few pictures and updates on our agency to check out!

Since the start of our Agency, The Rose Garden, everything has gone well … until now. Our instructors from both the Rehabilitation wing and the daycare wing have received suspicious voicemails. From what we have figured out so far, someone named Jack is making the mysterious calls. Jack is a patient at the Rose Garden. Lucky for us, there are 3 patients named Jack; two in rehab and one in daycare. We are unsure of which Jack it is, or their relationship to the Rose Garden. We are unsure if Jack is an adult, or a child, an addict, toddler, or a combination of them.

I REALLY liked this week. It was very easy and manageable. I liked working with Brian Goulet for our agency. He’s really talented and I enjoyed meeting with him. Sometimes the commenting can be a pain. But i wouldn’t look at people’s post otherwise. I really like seeing how other people do stuff and it helps me with my posts! The agency, and creating it was really fun! Liked doing something different. I didn’t put all the comments in a separate post because i thought … is it really necessary? So either, I did it right and i saved an unnecessary post, and you can still see my comments OR i just lost points, and was dumb, and you can’t see them. Either way, week 11 is done!

After receiving Burtis’ email about a group needing an extra member, I joined. I met with the group on Friday afternoon. Their radio show was called NOIR not the father. Which was one of the radio shows I listened to a few weeks back! I acted as one of the character’s dead wife. I really liked working with another group and seeing how other people did their radio show. Because I worked with the group for almost 3 hours, I would say that I deserve 8 stars for it. So please see their video this week to see my role in it!

One day in September, I walked alone to get a drink from Blackstone on campus. When I was getting close to it, I had a weird feeling that I needed to walk to the Blackstone across the street. I went, ordered a chai tea latte, and worked on my homework. Across Blackstone, was a girl that I had never seen before. She was writing in a journal, and she had a Younglife Shirt on (which is the club i’m in, but hardly knew anyone in it at the time). I could tell that she was older than me and I was too nervous to go talk to her. As I was leaving, she waved hello to me, so i stopped. We ended up talking for an hour and clicked right away. We exchanged numbers, and hung out again that week. Now she’s one of my best friends! All because I walked to the further Blackstone, and talked to a stranger.

Daily Create – Wednesday For today’s daily create, I used a picture that I took while visiting Germany last summer. This photograph was taken in a forest called Westerwald, right outside of a small village called Weyerbusch. I then edited it, and added a quote that I wrote in my journal a few days ago.

For Sunday’s daily create I used a video that me and my friends made a couple months back. We made a video about the apparent ghosts of Virginia Hall on campus.
