    Still in Frankfurt

    by
September 23, 2015. As mentioned, arrived in early morning Frankfurt time, and had a 14 hour layover, so I spent the entire day in the city watching the different phases of the day unfold, from the morning breakfast rush to noon-hour relaxation to mid-...

    Fleuve d’Argent

    by
September 20, 2015. View from the nice little model cabin where we stayed in Riviere du Loup on the way to Casselman. A bright brilliant day filled with hope and sunshine. We caught the Motel Fleuve d'Argent on its last day of the season. But yes, I'd ...

    Goofbye Moncton

    by
September 19, 2015. One last look at the house before we move (this image makes me very sad and I won't linger long with it). And actually, I'll see the house again, as I still own it, and need to do some work to get it sold. From Flickr http://ift.tt/...

    Voting Day

    by
September 18, 2015. The election is still a month away, but I took time to vote at the elections office because I knew I wouldn't be able to get to the polls otherwise. The office is in the Co-op building on Halifax street, and this is an old feed mill...

September 8, 2015. Andrea suggested I buy a new sweater so I took a taxi to the city centre to my new favourite store, High and Mighty, and bought a comfy wool sweater and informal jacket I can wear on days like today - conference days, but days when I...

September 7, 2015. This is the scene behind the scenes in the hall where I gave my talk (it's called the Armadillo - here's the outside). You can see the podium where I stood through the door. The talk was webcast around the world as well as to a very ...

    Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol

    by

August 29, 2015. It's a rare opportunity to be able to photograph inside a church during a ceremony, but one presented itself today as this celebraation, photographed by many, was the cumulation of a march from Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol to the plaza on Independencia Eje in Tlaquepaque. It was loud, with trumpets and drums, it ws colourful, and it was unexpected. I wandered around the area and then hiked for a total of 17km back to my hotel. From Flickr http://ift.tt/1JHbb49
