  This story on NPR is actually an interview with Ephron's son, Jacob Bernstein, who is the son of two writers and created a documentary about his mother for HBO. I liked the format of the interview as a story, I questioned at first whether it was a story at all but after listening I realized it certainly is. The interview begins with the interviewer asking Jacob about the title of his documentary, Everything is Copy. He talks about how it came from something his grandmother always told his

Adoption, as a conversation, has been very prevalent in my house in the last few months. There are many issues, fears, difficulties, and barriers to adoption.  After being completely immersed in Serial the last two weeks it was particularly hard for me to find a digital story to write about this week. Honestly I was about to give up! I searched and searched and nothing caught my eye. Not only did I finish Serial season one is one weekend, I went on to listen to season two the following weekend. I was lost when it was over! Much like the moment you put down and amazing book, a book that filled your mind until it was spilling over, where there is no

 Today's daily create was to bury something undesirable at Boot Hill cemetery. I didn't choose something undesirable, hopefully not because it's me! This was a saying a friend of mine from college used to say all the time. We were two peas in a pod taking many religious studies classes together and leading all the debates, he would say this would be written on our tombstones... So true...

Chapter five of New Literacies focuses on Blogs, Wikis, and collaborative means of learning. I really enjoyed this chapter, mainly because I have been loving writing blog posts every week. So, when I saw the title of this chapter I was immediately interested. Last night I delivered my first webinar for the course, Webinars and Synchronus Learning. I rehearsed, I practiced, I recorded my reheasals, and I still felt like I wasn't prepared! But, I do think that is to be expected with my first one. It doesn't matter how many times you practice if it's the first time unexpected problems will arise! I scheduled my webinar for a night I knew no one would be home in my house other than me, I imagine this might be an issue for scheduling live events like this

The first thing I learned is that creating a GIF is so much easier than I thought it would be!!
