    This is the end

    by
I’m officially done with ds106! Here is my final website: http://storytellingshoes.kristinloconnell.com/blog/ This was a ton of fun to create. I got to use basically everything I’ve learned in this class and intertwined it to make a super cool website. I worked harder on these final aspects of this project than anything else in this class … Continue reading This is the end

Critique of the video of the year: SOCKS

    by
This video was simply exquisite. Everything about it screamed new age creativity. From the iPhone quality videography to the rustling and voices in the background–you could tell that this assignment was so little thought out that it was cool. The lighting–incredible. The actors–phenomenal. Overall: 10/10 would recommend.   Remix assignment: http://remix.ds106.us/remixassignments/whats-your-opinion-on-remixed-stuffy-art-critic/

    Favorite Holidays

    by
For my next assignment, I created a holiday mashup. My two favorite holidays are my birthday and Christmas, so I mashed the two up: To create this assignment, I used Photoshop. I downloaded the Santa Claus picture from pnglng.com, and then I added some birthday clipart throughout the picture. The process was pretty simple, and I … Continue reading Favorite Holidays

    Mashup of me

    by
For my first mashup assignment, I mashed up my own audio assignments for 4.5 stars. To do so, I imported three of my past audio assignments into Audacity, and cut and pasted pieces of the three to tell a (nonsensical) story in one piece. Although it doesn’t make much sense, it sounds like someone telling … Continue reading Mashup of me

This week was definitely better than last week! I am getting used to iMovie and am more comfortable making video assignments. I think I did a better job this week of using the assignments to tell stories, rather than just to get stars. Check out my work from this week: Assignments: Running in reverse Where … Continue reading Weekly Summary

This has been my least favorite week so far. I have never done any video editing, so everything made me really frustrated and I didn’t necessarily like it. Review on my cat

    by
For my last assignment, I recorded a product review on my cat. This assignment was pretty simple. I just recorded myself using my phone (next time I would turn it the other way…it bugs me) and ranted about the hatred of this cat that lives in my house. I then uploaded the clips into iMovie, sorted them, … Continue reading Review on my cat

    Opinions on Socks

    by
For another assignment, I got some information about socks. My assignment was to interview people off guard about their opinions on a subject and record their reactions. I interviewed some friends tonight and recorded their reactions, and I was not disappointed. First, I recorded everyone I wanted to interview on my iPhone, I was surprised … Continue reading Opinions on Socks

    The Best of ds106

    by
My all time favorite assignment anyone has ever done is Emily’s b-flat assignment. She took YMCA by the Village People and flattened it, and it is hysterical. I honestly enjoy it more than the normal version. She did a great job with this assignment, especially considering it was one of her first assignments ever for … Continue reading The Best of ds106
