Police brutality against African American men may have sparked the #BlackLivesMatter movement on social media, but that’s not the only reason this organization exists. It’s followers have taken their cries of inequality within the black community to the streets, marching in active rallies for change. Black Lives Matter intends to...

    Mashing Emojis

    by

Oh boy, I can’t believe I’m about to embarrass myself and do this, but here it goes. For the Mashing Emoji’s assignment on ds106, I decided to use myself. I used a few pictures from a time I would never forget, my first experience visiting a friend away at college.  I had a BLAST to say the least.  It was turnup time from I stepped foot off the bus.  My first college spring break definitely went down in the books.

    Highlight Reel

    by

I died with laughter watching Stephen Curry’s two-year-old daughter, Riley, during the NBA Press Conference last night.  After an amazing game beating the Houston Rockets, leaving Curry with a total of 34 points, little Riley sure did steal all his shine.  I was honestly so caught up on the hilarious Riley that everything Curry said went in one ear and out the next.  I’m pretty sure he is now being swarmed with several pitched ideas on creating a reality show.

    It’s That Time Again…Already?

    by

Sometimes it just feels like I never get a break !  On the weekdays I have to wake up bright and early, and just when I think I can sleep in on the weekends, something almost ALWAYS comes up ! Just hearing the sound of my alarm every morning makes me want to SCREAM and break it😡😡. And continuously setting it back only makes matters worse.  You’re now late and scurrying all around the house trying to gather your belongings.  Times like these you’re almost always bound to leave something important behind😩😩. I left my keys home the other day due to a case just like this and was locked out of my house for an entire hour. Thank god for great friends and facetime, which made time pass by a bit quicker until my mother came to my rescue.

    Can You Create That Sound?

    by

One of the coolest things we’ve done by far in CT101 was the sound design project.  I must admit, I never knew there was a such thing as a sound designer.  I knew when I watched movies the hits and punches were fake, but I never knew all of those sounds were pre-recorded.  One may look at this task and say, “Omg, that must be the easiest job ever.  Who wouldn’t want to get paid to do that on a regular basis.”  But if you think about it, it’s actually not that simple.
