For this assignment I was tasked with taking a bad photo and writing on it with Helvetica for 2 stars.
To do this I took a photo of the lamp with a filter on my Iphone 6 and then I pulled it into paint for Mac and Wala!

Selection- When I was looking for different points of view I went on flickr and 911 was the first trending topic I saw. I thought this was a very powerful image because it shows a small, up-close picture of NYC while the World Trade Center was still standing. In the horizon you can see NYC … Continue reading Different Points of View→
I thought this week was really fun. I really like photography so these assignments were really enjoyable. I completed a post about my photography experience and what I learned about taking photographs. Photo Reflection 2. I read the article about improving my photography and found some really cool examples on flickr of different types of … Continue reading Weekly Summary
I used flickr to find all these pictures and google to figure out exactly what I needed to be looking for. Contrast: I thought this was a cool picture of contrast because the sky was so dark and the grass was so green. Perspective: This was a hard picture to look for, but I think … Continue reading Becoming a Better Photographer
For this assignment I chose to do a bad birthday assignment where I chose a photo of me where I do not look happy and add birthday decorations. Here is my bad birthday photo! For this assignment I had my girlfriend send me a picture of me mean muggin. After that I used paint for … Continue reading "Terrible Birthday"
Today I went on a 20-minute Photoblitz. I had to take pictures of everything on this list: I started at 2:04 PM and ended at 2:19PM. For my first photo, I had to take a picture of something circular that filled the frame. I chose the clock by Woodard. The next challenge was to take […]
I have always been more of a photography fan than a photographer. I have little to know experience in serious photography. The best camera I’ve ever owned is the one in my current smartphone. While I do have over 200 photos on my camera roll I still wouldn’t consider myself much of a photographer. Most … Continue reading Visuals of Storytelling→
For this visual assignment we had to create a sports poster for any athlete. I immediately wanted to do this one because I am a huge sports fan. I chose to make a poster for my favorite NBA player, Kawhi Leonard. At only 25 years old he has list of accolades that many veterans … Continue reading Sports Poster (2.5 stars)→
I was immediately drawn to the What’s The Meme? assignment, as I’ve tried my hand at turning my friends into memes before. The attempt was a very humorous endeavor that I found quite personally rewarding. However, the final product was made with paint, and was somewhat frustrating as I couldn’t use any outline features […]
I don’t think I have a great deal of experience with photography. Growing up, my parents would sometimes provide me with disposable cameras when we were on vacation. The results were often blurry with poor lighting, or worse, covered by my fingers. Now that I have an iphone, the majority of my photos are taken […]
My 3rd and final Visual Assignment for this week is worth 3 stars, and I was to create a collage like the one used in the title for the show, The Brady Bunch. For my collage I asked my fellow teammates to send me selfies of them looking different directions as seen in The Brady Bunch collage. I chose … Continue reading Lady Ballers
For this daily create we had to crop an image of our pet at our school so it would be like they were here with us. I have a few pets, but I decided to go with my cat bubbles. Shes my favorite, but I don’t think she would enjoy the college life.
I chose to do the three star visual assignment “Can you see what I see?” We were supposed to make our image transparent over a picture of an eye, but I only have Microsoft paint so I had to get creative. Can you guess what it is? hint: it’s something every college student should have.
Here is an example of a great background in relation to a front foreground. While looking at the photo your eyes automatically focus in on the candy, rather than the fruit. The eye appeals more to what is in front of it. The main message this photo is trying to convey is that the candy … Continue reading “Pay Attention to the Little Things.. “
In high school, I took a Photography I and a Photography II class. I used to take a lot of pictures, however the pictures I take now are mostly for Instagram. I like to take pictures of my dog, the mountains and my family/friends. When it comes to taking photos I just try to get … Continue reading Photo Reflection
Here is an example of Moment. As you look at the picture you can interpret how intense the photo is as the female is intensely striking the volleyball. This is a great example of how the photographer slows down what is happening around him and focuses...
(credit: Virginia Institute of Blacksmithing) My first visual assignment for this week was the 4-star “Camp Poster”. The really, really cool thing about the photo background?? It’s meeeeee! Whenever I take a picture, it never turns out to be what I want it to be the first time I capture the photo. Picture-taking was never my thing growing up. My current experience with a picture I tried to take symbolizes that statement well. Last Friday, I tried to take a selfie with my … Continue reading “Taking Pictures aren’t easy! “
