Radio: An Illustrated Guide

To be frankly honest I didn’t like this book one bit.  I thought it made use of poor graphic novel techniques and was all over the place.  It wasn’t very organized until the last couple of pages and then it just wasn’t that interesting.  Yes it was informative and got the point across but it was just presented in a very poor and boring way.  My freshman seminar that I took last year was all about graphic novels and how they convey stories and this may have made me somewhat biased towards it.  The format was very boring with nothing really popping off the pages and making the reader want to keep reading.  Yes, they got the general sense of the medium right but to really utilize the graphic novel style you need to put a lot of time and effort into it and I feel like they could of done better.  All in all it was good though.  It got the message across and told about a different type of storytelling in depth.
