Delayed Daily Create

Well I did do the Daily Create yesterday…but I was sidelined by the unfortunate reappearance of the Hover page rather than my blog page when I went to upload it. This spurred a brief panic of “WHERE HAS MY BLOG GONE? IS EVERYTHING LOST??” until Alan Levine kindly directed me to contact my host, Cast Iron Coding. (This process was considerably sped up by the use of Twitter. I may or may not be warming up to Twitter because of this.) They were fairly prompt in replying to me but I was unable to access my blog again until this morning.

So, rather belatedly, here is my description of yesterday’s Daily Create:

The assignment was to video an object in motion. My boyfriend Mike is really good at shuffling cards (he has tried to teach me, to little avail). So I played around with angles and lighting and tried to find something interesting, and came up with this –

I have always liked how this manner of shuffling cards looks and sounds, and I think the video captures that pretty well. Thank goodness for my trusty iPhone, which has better camera and video capabilities than the hand-me-down digital camera I have from my parents.
