Photoblitzing

I chose to attempt this on campus this afternoon, and in my excitement I kind of rushed through it, taking closer to 13 minutes than the allotted 20. I did it on campus because I figured it was a pretty diverse environment with lots of opportunities for unique pictures and, on a Sunday afternoon, wouldn’t be too heavily trafficked, so people wouldn’t think I was a creeper. I was pretty stressed trying to get it done, I didn’t want to lose track of time so I tried my best to move quickly. The “hand/paw” requirement threw me off, I was trying to corner a squirrel but it was moving too fast and I didn’t want to ask a stranger for a picture of their hand (see “creeper”). I opted to photograph an ant, which has legs, which are kind of like hands, right? Here were my “top 5″ from this assignment:

And my favorites from other people were:

this one,

I think the blue of the sky is really striking and I like the industrial setting.

this one,

The slotted spoon casts the most interesting shadow I saw in the ds106photoblitz and I like the rustic look of the spoon.

and this one.

Its a really clean and whimsical photo.
