spirit rock edit

“Hey, look at the rock! It looks like someone is advertising something. It seems to be their website and Twitter handle. Oh cool, this person focuses on technology. I have to follow them now and give their website a shot.” Thus, begins Boscoe’s rise to fame as more and more students from the University of Mary Washington begin to tweet at him, browse his website, and subscribe to  his blog posts. They would then retweet and share his posts to their friends, causing Boscoe’s popularity to increase even further.

This one and half star assignment required me to decorate the spirit rock with an editing program to my liking. As you can see, I edited the rock to show my website and Twitter handle. Since the spirit rock is used for advertising a lot, I figured that I could do it as well and create a story about someone trying get some fame online. I would also like to credit Jim Groom for the photo that I edited.

The way I edited this photo was pretty simple. I used the Paintbush tool to cover the spirit rock in black. Then I used the Text tool to type in what I wanted to be seen on the rock. Rhe last step was increasing the font size and changing its font color to help the contrast.in
