Creating the 9 Lives radio show over the past two weeks was a lot of fun. We decided to create a Halloween theme show because it is October after all and we thought we should let everyone know what is going on in Fredericksburg and also tell some scary stories. The easiest part of the assignment was actually doing all of my recording because I had experience of doing something similar with earlier assignments. I have to say that getting together and discussing who would do what was the most difficult part of the assignment because of everyone having different schedules. Adam, Miles, Kelsey, and I were able to meet up, but Sean was not.

For my part of the project, I was in charge of finding out what the hottest selling costumes were and piecing together all the radio show. I don’t really know much about costumes, so I figured it would be nice to do something new, but my part of the assignment could’ve turned out better. I think our project as a whole turned out amazing. It flowed pretty well because of the history lesson at the beginning that meshed into the story that was told. If this was actually on the radio, I believe it would have been quite successful around here. Entertaining the viewers with spooky stories and then telling them where to get some nice costumes to wear should grab all of the young kids’ attention.

Working with audio these last few weeks only help improve my relationship with it. I  already did appreciate audio a lot and working on this assignment and others just kept adding to that. I really enjoyed messing around with everything in Audacity a lot more than I imagined I would. I also thought it would be extremely complicated for some reason, but it was actually pretty easy. I also thought that the audio assignments would all be focused on you using your voice, but I found out that there were some assignments focused on music and sound effects.

To conclude, I really loved doing all of the audio assignments and I can’t wait to see what’s in store next!

Also, here is the radio show just in case it didn’t upload to the Dropbox for some odd reason.
