Final Project: A small look into my current progress

After spending a few days doing my final project, I am happy to say that i’ve made huge strides. One problem that I ran into from the start was deciding wether to make my sight on word press, or literally creating a regular sight on host gator.

I chose to create my fitness sight on on a regular sight using host gator. I figured since we already learned how to use word press I should challenge myself in creating a web page outside of it. It was really tough in the beginning, because unlike word press it’s hard to find a built in theme that is perfect for the page your trying to create. The biggest challenge that I came across was creating columns etc. In word press your theme lays them out easily, however creating a regular sight leaves all the work up to you. After choosing a theme I thought I can just delete the already built in information and just replace it with my own, however I realized it was a lot harder then expected. When I would delete a picture that was already there, the columns, text boxes, and image boxes would all become scrambled and not lined up.

So far I’ve created my main page. I included the title, and a menu that brings you to other pages. My sight will have about seven pages, but right now I’m getting ready to complete my third. Get excited to see my final sight, Fitness now, then, and everything in between.
