My own lil Story

So I created a slideshow using scrapblog.com.  It’s fairly short for now, I’ll have to go in and add some more pics and text descriptions.  I found this kinda cool to use because this is my first project actually using pictures.  It took me a little while to figure out how to play with all the little do dads on scrapblog, but I caught on pretty quick.

The pictures are of the tires and rims from my 1979 MG Midget.  When I purchased the car, it had been sitting for a while (7 years) in a barn.  Needless to say the tires were dry-rotted and needed replaced.

I figured I might as well clean up the rims while I was at it, I I bought a sandblasting booth and went to work.  It took about 4 hours to sandblast each wheel, and painting took about a day.

I had a local tire shop install new valve stems and put the tire on the rim.  I’m very happy with the outcome of the first wheel.  Still got 3 more to do, so once Spring comes I’ll be back at it!
