This is my first attempt at any legitimate blogging. This being the case, I have no idea what to start off writing about. I sat, staring blankly at my computer screen for so long that I felt I became one with the matrix. I began counting pixels and trying to swat flies away that landed on the monitor by frantically shaking my cursor at them.

This being the case, I decided to write a bit about my dog! This is in no way an attempt at brownie points. The fact that the instructor is a dog person is no way related *cough*.

The picture above is my dog, Sophie. She is a 5 year old Brittany Spaniel, and shes crazy. I have had her for along time, enjoying every minute of it. She has a background of first-rate show dogs and as well those who competed in hunting competitions. My dad originally got her as a hunting buddy, so that was something he kept an eye out for, and she didnt disappoint him. After only a few times out in the “field” she was doing a better job than dogs who had been at it for years. Its funny to look out the window and see her standing and pointing at a seemingly invisible bird for 10 minutes.

Now onto her wierdness :

Wierdness #1: She crawls around like a snake.

She loves people. When someone comes into the house, she goes nuts. This usually results in her getting on her stomache and crawling around. I also recently discovered that if I lay down next to her while she is doing these, we can have crawling races. I let her win so she feels good.

Wierndess #2: She likes to eat bees. While they are flying.
