I have little experience with technology. That being said, setting up my blog was more difficult for me than it might have been for others. My panic arose when I opened the extensive list of domains available to purchase. I was so panic-stricken by the sheer amount I failed to realize there was a link to Hover which most everyone was using. Fifteen minutes later I thought to go back and just register with Hover as my domain. From there I had to choose my webhost. To be honest I chose my webhost based on their webpage layout and how easy it was to navigate their site. My choice had little to do with the cost because already at this point in the process I was willing to pay anything to successfully set up my blog. I chose Site5 for my webhost and paid for everything. I then pointed everything in the right direction like it told my to in the nifty email they sent me with detailed direction for almost anything technical pertaining to my recent blog. I didn’t put the finishing touches on my blog until class time on Tuesday and then it all came together for me with Erin’s help of course. I failed to realize I had to register with WordPress as well. Since then I have been playing around with the color and layout of my blog and enjoy it greatly. More blogs to follow!
