Blog Experiment: Assignment 2, part 1

I realize I did week 2′s assignment out of order, but I wanted more time to work on my blog. So as you can see, I have a wordpress theme. Its pre-made, hopefully temporary until I figure out how to customize everything myself. I’m slowly but surely getting the hang of the internet and wordpress. I’m still trying to change the fonts on my pre-made layout through the CSS editor. Since I am not fluent in programming, it’s a tad more difficult. I have downloaded twitter tools, Google Analytics, and askimet. I’m still uncertain as to how to use Google Analytics and Askimet, but I suppose I’ll have to google it. Twitter tools was actually a lot easier than I had anticipated from other peoples posts. It’s quite helpful to use that instead of signing on twitter and tweeting every time I post.

I’m beginning to think that I’d like to start blogging more than just about this class. I think it’d be a neat way for people to stay in contact with my life (parents, far-away friends etc). Yes, I use facebook and twitter frequently. However, I don’t usually post personal things other than photos to those social sites (unless of course its something SUPER important, that EVERYONE on my twitterfeed must know ;) ). I don’t know, maybe I’m warming up to the idea of documenting my life digitally. Of course I will stuff photo albums with my favorite memories until I am blue in the face, but what if something happens to those photos? My footprint could still be found here. Just food for thought.

Mad love,

L
