Ok so I know if your anything like me your gunna wanna tweek the little things throughout your blog such as font, color, adding links etc. I also know it can take hours to search for such little HTML codes such as these and it can get pretty anerving, so I’m gunna make this real simple for you and tell you how to add all the ones ive found so far. ISN”T THAT EXCITING!!!
We will start off first with very basic ones that you’ll probably remember if you ever had a myspace.
FONTS
If you want to add color to a word, you use the code < font color="color name here" > with no spaces between the <> and the words
Ex; I LIKE THE COLOR GREEN
If you want to add italics or bold a word you use the code < i > and < b >
Ex; I AM BOLD I AM ITALIC
If you want to change the font size of a word you use the code < font size="number here" >
Ex; THIS IS SIZE 3
If you want to chnage the font style of a word you use the code < font style="font style name here" >
you are limited to a few styles here.
Ex; THIS IS ARIAL
If you want to add strike through a word you use the code < s >
If you want to add the ♥ the code is & hearts; no space between the & and H
IMAGES
If you want to stack pictures in your blog you use the code < p > after your image URL
I have only really had luck with this ones if you add the URL yourself and not upload it from the upload/insert button when your creating your blog
this is also used to add spaces between paragraphes
Ex;
If you want to center an image you use the code < center >
LINKS
If you want to add a link to your blog or even make one of the words in your paragraph a link you use this code
< a href="THE URL HERE">THE WORD YOU”D LIKE IT TO BE HERE
Ex; TODAY I READ AN ARTICLE ON Bryan Alexander’s Web 2.0 Storytelling IT WAS INTERESTING.
REMEMBER THERE ARE NO SPACES BETWEEN <> WHEN YOU WANT TO USE THESE CODES, ALSO IF YOU EVER WANT TO STOP ANY OF THE CODES, FOR EXAMPLE YOU WANT ONE WORD TO BE RED BUT THE WORD AFTER IT TO GO BACK TO NORMAL JUST ADD A / TO THE BEGINNING OF THE LINK. SO FOR EXAMPLE RED NOT RED WOULD BE < /font color="red"> THAT GOES FOR ALL CODES, IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
I will probably be adding to this tutorial as I go along so you may want to check it out again
please let me know if this is explained ok, if not id be more than happy to reword or answer any questions.
– ENJOY
