I think these pictures are beautiful. I love black and white to begin with, and when you take a part of the picture and make it color, it stands out and emphasizes that particular part. I had my sister take this picture one Easter for me. The little boy holding my hand is my cousin, Kyler. He and I have this bond, this strong connection that no one in the family can understand, except us. When he was a baby, he couldn’t say “Chelsea,” so he would call me, “Chi Chi,” and he still does to this day. Making the rest of the world around us black and white, while we are our own unit, defines us and our relationship.
I used my sisters Adobe photoshop, which is a program that can be downloaded online. One of our many web 2.0 gidgets. Before doing anything with adobe, in my IPHOTO, I edited the picture with the different effects I had, putting the whole picture in black and white. Then I opened up the document of my photo went to the top bar and clicked a button that adjusts the contrast and brightness of the picture.
