For one of my DS106 assignments we had to take an image and give it an inspirational quote, something that you can potentially use in a classroom.  Ralph Waldo Emerson, in my opinion, is one of the most influential people.  Nearly every single one of his quotes is something that makes a lasting impression on me.  This is a quote that is actually on the side of my blog  I think this is great advice for people.  You need to get outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourself.  Sometimes, your greatest accomplishments come from times that you challenged yourself.  For example, although I HATE public speaking, I try and take advantage of every chance I get that allows me to do that.  I read a short story at an open mic night one night, which definitely put me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to grow.  People need to take more challenges in life, you’d be surprised what you could accomplish.
