Three Star Assignment: Say It Like the Peanut Butter
Inspiration

The idea behind this GIF is to display a prominent theme within the Disney channel Brink. The main character with the blue shirt was just late to an event and now his friends are upset. However, he has an upbeat attitude and does not let anything get him down. His spirit lifts his companions and it ends up being his most important talent within the broader film. I tried displaying this by showing a scene where Brink is enthusiastic and optimistic despite one of his friend’s anxiety. Once he talks his friends are uplifted and it allows the entire group to move on and just enjoy life.
Process
This was by far the most difficult assignment I had to complete. At first the process was easy due to the help of Jim Groom’s guide: http://ds106.us/wiki/index.php?title=Creating_Animated_GIFs_with_MPEG_Streamclip_and_GIMP. However, I ran into issues exporting and embedding this file in my blog. The process began with downloading the youtube video, then I used MPEG to trim the video. For some reason MPEG was having issues exporting the file as an image. (It crashed every time I tried converting an AVI file to an Image file) I then used Photoshop to convert the file to an animated video which allowed me to insert delays in the video. Finally, I ran into the issue of exporting my GIF file and embedding it. Originally, I saved the file as an image and HTML file but for some reason it worked better when I saved it as an HTML only file. I then used the Upload/insert tool that we can use when we make posts.
